Pros: Fun Social Event; Easy to see the items and physically inspect them; Everything is done on one day

Cons: Weather; scheduling conflicts; less exposure for potential bidders; space for set up, parking, and crowds; Greater liability.

Online Auctions

Pros: Greater Flexibility; No weather or scheduling conflicts; significantly larger exposure for items; little to no moving costs; can bid from home, work, tractor, anywhere; buyers only have to come if they are the winning bidder.

Cons: Harder to inspect items; not a social event; must rely on photos and descriptions; users must have access to internet and have knowledge of internet use.

Simulcast Auctions

(live auction with online bidding)

Pros: Best of both worlds.

Cons: Costs the most.
